Our customer wanted to create an indexing single part flow inert atmosphere production furnace system to match, and seamlessly integrate into, the customer’s entire existing manufacturing process at a production rate of 45 seconds part to part. The customer’s then existing process included inefficient batch furnace staging of parts at this point in the process.


DESCRIPTION

The DTI-1191 Pull to Length System is a thermoforming oven designed to cut rolls of carpet used in automotive interior components. The system pulls carpet from a roll and cuts a blank to the desired length. The system supports a carpet roll that is fed into the infeed section of the system. The pull system then pulls the roll to the desired length and stops. At this point a electric saw cross cuts the roll and the cut blank is placed on the table of the system. A pick and place system then picks the cut blank and places it on the entrance of a preheat oven. The controls are integrated into the controls of the production line that was previously provided by Davron Technologies, Inc. The entire production lines consist of a preheat oven, pull to length system, and pick and place system.
